Art 42 Paris

Art 42

CLOSED FOR RENOVATION WORKS - The pupils 2.0 from the 42 school enjoy a very different setting for their studies: in the middle of their classrooms is France’s first permanent museum of urban art.

Description

Right in the middle of 42 school, an IT school worthy of Silicon Valley, stands a real cabinet of curiosities which delights fans of street art. Founded by Xavier Niel, the owner of Free, among others, this place has not only been designed to train tomorrow’s developers but also to house the first free and permanent museum devoted to urban art. Between the classrooms, admire the pieces by big names of urban art such as Blu, Zeys, JR and Shepard Fairey (Obey). The impressive formats and multitude of techniques used to produce these pieces and create an immersive scenography are sure to surprise you. They are designed with a strong focus on aesthetics and incorporate humour and social critique, resulting in a colourful and creative cocktail that cannot be missed!

This impressive collection of over 150 works of urban art spreads over 3 floors and an area of 4,000m² and is accessible to the general public for guided tours twice a week.
