Description
For a magical family outing, head for the Paris Aquarium. Here, alongside one of Europe’s most impressive shark collections, you can discover 500 other species of fish and invertebrates. Its 43 pools contain around 10,000 specimens plus 600 corals, offering a chance to “dive” into waters from all corners the world!
For a long time Europe’s largest aquarium, the space includes a reconstitution of the nearby Seine, where you can see carp, sturgeon and roach swimming, as well as more exotic recreations of the oceans around Tahiti and New Caledonia.
As you approach France’s largest shark pool, filled with three million litres of water, thrills are guaranteed! It holds 32 specimens, from four different species – including the grey reef shark – all of which are certain to fascinate young and old.
The petting pool
Throughout the visit, numerous interactive activities are on offer, with a programme that changes each month: from feeding the fish to fun and instructive workshops that allow you to gain a sense of the aquatic universe, and exhibitions that focus on the protection of marine life.
This unique space located just a stone's throw from the Eiffel Tower. also includes two cinema screens and, above all, a petting pool where children are allowed, to their great delight, to touch the fish.
